There are also restrooms available as well outdoor tennis courts that provide an excellent workout right there on this 26-acre community park site.
The memorial garden area provides relaxing surroundings with flowers planted around every few feet, making it possible to stop & smell some roses without even taking off gloves or shoes.
George Rogers Park has a nice upper shelter with 4 picnic tables and lights, as well as electricity available for those who need it. The lower area of this small park is even more impressive; there are 7 different table locations in total–2 barbeque spots plus electrical outlets. It’s perfect if you’re bringing friends or family on their first visit to town since all three facilities will be able to accommodate up to 75 people at once.
The beautiful George Rogers Park is a popular destination for locals to enjoy the amenities it offers. In 2005, this area received an upgrade that restored views and pedestrian access along with improved landscaping fronting Oswego Creek as well as Willamette River habitats.
