Foothill Park
Foothill Park is one of the best places to see views and take pictures in Lake Oswego. It’s located near Oswego Pointe, which makes it easy for visitors who come here with their family or friends on vacation from the Lake Oswego area.
Foothill Park is an attractive place for recreation as it’s very well maintained. The location on the bank of River Willamette makes this park especially scenic, and there are plenty of activities to keep visitors busy all year round.
Foothill Park is a beautiful riverside park that has something for everyone. The covered platform gives you sweeping views of the Willamette River, while inside are stone pillars engraved with William Stafford’s poetry (the Stafford Stones). There are also pathways leading around its ring-shaped base made from basalt rocks. If it doesn’t rain, then take advantage since there’s an area complete with a reflecting pond and picnic pavilion where they host Wednesday evening concerts in July – but be sure to bring your own food because nothing may survive between these two buildings if gone bad after waiting hours at either end.
The City of Lake Oswego has created a lovely riverfront park in the heart Willamette River. This space is perfect for long walks and romantic dates, surrounded by lush greenery from Foothills Park all around it.
The Foothills Park property in Portland, Oregon, was originally owned by the City and leased to Georgia Pacific for many decades. In December 2004, the City of Lake Oswego purchased 5-a acres with an additional 3/4-acre recreational easement from this leasehold interest of local landmark buildings.
Situated at 199 Foothills Rd, Lake Oswego, OR 97034-3163, Foothills Park is a great place to go for an outdoor experience with the family. The amenities include everything you need, including WIFI access and natural areas that are perfect spots to catch some peace while being close enough proximity from the downtown area.
The Foothills Park is a raised and covered platform constructed from salvaged iron industry materials that provide sweeping views to the north and south of the Willamette River.
Foothills Park is home to the William Stafford Memorial pathway, which was named in honor of one of our greatest poets. His work can be found carved into Basalt columns at this end, and it’s an excellent way for visitors who come here looking just like you – with your held breath, waiting until there are no more words left unspoken on either side.
