Cline Falls State Park

Redmond’s Cline Falls State Park is an excellent place for visitors and locals alike to enjoy the beauty of Oregon’s Deschutes River. Cline Falls State Park offers visitors an opportunity to get away from their busy lives and spend some quality time with family or friends. Cline Falls State Park offers visitors an excellent area for picnicking and swimming with grills, tables, horseshoe pits. There is also a designated fish cleaning station at this park, which helps ensure your family stays healthy while enjoying themselves outdoors.

Cline Falls is a fantastic waterfall on the Deschutes River, approximately 4 miles west near Redmond, OR. The name comes from Cass A., who owned land adjacent to this 20 ft-high segmented steep cascade, and it occurs just north where Oregon Route 126 crosses over near its mouth into Crooked River State Park. There is plenty of fish you can see around these falls as well.

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department bought the property above Cline Falls to create a day-use park. It was developed as an educational fishing area with scenic views, including prime river frontage along the Deschutes River 25 miles (40 km) upstream from its waterfall. It includes parking spaces, among other amenities, such as picnic tables or restrooms inside this 9-acre site running eastwards towards where it meets up again near Redmond town center. There’s also a trail alongside the center detailing how you can go down below these falls if desired – not always easy but undoubtedly possible depending upon when water levels are optimal.

Situated at 7100 OR-126, Redmond, OR 97756, Cline Falls State Park is full of diversions to keep you busy. Between the observation deck and falls on either side or in front of the water’s edge, one such place makes for great slow-water swimming spots that will cool off even those who are not afraid.
